The Emirates Group is based in Dubai, UAE and brings together leading travel, tourism and leisure brands. It includes our world renowned airline, Emirates, and our ground services provider, dnata.

    • As well as our international airline, Emirates, and our ground services provider, dnata, we also have our global logistics company, Emirates SkyCargo, along with aviation catering services and marhaba meet and greet airport service.

    Emirates Leisure Retail is a subsidiary of the Emirates Group, which represents much-loved food and beverage brands and outlets like Costa, Pret A Manger and Giraffe World Kitchen.

    We also provide world-class training at the Emirates Flight Training Academy and Emirates CAE Flight Training among others.

    Where do we fly

    • This feature allows you to quickly view flight timings and routes simply by entering the origin and destination of the flight, the type of journey (one-way or return), and the travel dates.

    • Among other factors, the price of all Emirates tickets depends on the combination of flights you book. We can only quote you a price for the entire trip once you decide which specific flights you would prefer. As some flights are more popular than others, the price of tickets on these varies.

    Privacy and data protection

    • emirates.com employs industry-standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt all personal data that is sent over the internet from your computer to the emirates.com server. All information is kept on a secure server and is protected by a firewall. As an added precaution, the firewall is monitored for security breach attempts.

    • The common standard on the internet to signal a secure site is a closed lock at the top of the browser. As long as the closed lock is displayed, your information is secure and encrypted. On most browsers, including Google Chrome and Safari, clicking the lock icon shows you detailed information about the site’s security certificate.

    • The card verification code (CVC) is a three- or four-digit credit card security code. Since this number is not embossed on the card it cannot be printed on receipts. This prevents anyone other than the credit card bearer from using the number.

      Visa, Mastercard and Diners Club Cards have a three digit code located on the top right hand side of the signature strip on the back of the card.

      Emirates does not store or retain your Card Security Code. It is only used during the process of validating your credit card.

      American Express Cards have a four-digit number printed above the account number on the front of the card.

    Your Solo or Maestro card issue number is a one to two digit number printed on the front of your card. Some cards do not have an issue number. If this applies to you please enter a zero in the issue number field.

    • Storing your details means it’s quicker and easier to book your flights as you won’t have to go through the process of entering all your details every time. You can also store up to three cards, so you can choose how you’d prefer to pay.
    • This option is only open to Emirates Skywards members. You can join up for free to start using the stored payment function so you don’t have to enter them every time you make a booking.
  • If you log in to emirates.com with your Emirates Skywards membership number, you’ll be prompted to save your card details when you make your flight booking. You can also save your card details at any time through the My Account section.
  • You can save the details of up to three cards. You can choose which card to make your payment with each time, but you must enter the CVC code (card verification code).
  • You can add or delete cards at any time through Payment Methods in the My Account section.
  • Stored card details are highly secured.

  • The majority of our aircrafts have cameras to monitor their cabins to:

    • protect our passengers, crew and property against physical harm and assault; theft of, and/or damage to, our and your property; and any unlawful interference or other illegal conduct;
    • assist in emergency situations; and
    • investigate, and provide evidence in connection with, accidents or legal and insurance claims.

    These cameras are not intended to monitor particular individuals, but they are there to assist with safety and security on board. These cameras produce recordings, and in some aircraft, these cameras can provide a live feed to our security and other relevant personnel in the event of an emergency or other extraordinary situation such as a security event.

  • The cameras will collect your image and movements. In addition to our passengers, cameras will record our staff and any other individuals who enter the aircraft such as cleaners, ground handlers and engineers.
  • We store the recordings for up to 30 days unless a different period is required or permitted by law, for evidence and internal investigations, for legal or insurance claims, or to aid law enforcement or regulatory and other governmental agencies in their investigations.
  • Access to camera recordings is strictly limited to a group of authorised security and other relevant personnel on a need-to-know basis within the Emirates Group. Processes are in place to ensure access is limited.
  • There is a built-in camera in the screen of your inflight entertainment unit, but the camera is disabled. Currently we have no plans to enable it or develop any further features using the camera. If we do so, we will update our privacy policy accordingly.
  • Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation and other applicable privacy laws, the legal basis for processing your personal information in this regard is our legitimate interest in protecting our passengers, crew and property.
  • We have implemented and maintain appropriate technical and organisational security measures, policies and procedures designed to protect information we collect from cameras on board. See ‘How we protect and store your personal information’ in our Privacy Policy at emirates.com/privacy for more information.
  • Yes, the relevant provisions of our Privacy Policy, including sharing your personal information with others, apply to the operation of our cameras in our aircraft. Please read our full Privacy Policy at emirates.com/privacy to learn more.
